For the season finale (yay!), this week's victim is Karen Vito, a 41-year-old mother and wife who dresses like an 18-year-old whore. It embarrasses her husband and her 8-year-old daughter. She doesn't want to look like a "slouchy" soccer mom, but she's sick of dressing like a hooker.

Tim and Veronica head over to Karen's house, where she greets them wearing a patterned halter top and brown pants. Tim does "the contract" with her. "We can't want you to succeed more than you do," blah blah blah. They tour her house. "The house has a sophistication that Karen's lacking," comments Tim. It's a nice house.

Oh, joy. It's another episode of Tim Gunn's Guide to Style, and it's all for me!

Tonight we meet Lori, a 32-year-old probation officer with an awful scar on her leg as the result of a car accident. She tears up as she talks about it. She mostly wears big, baggy pants right now. "I love sweats," she says. She's about to get married and wants to look amazing for her bachelorette party. Lori has a fantastic, open smile, and I genuinely hope T&V can cheer up her closet and her self-image.

Oh, joy.

Tim Gunn's Guide to Style is back on the airwaves. How I'd missed recapping this formulaic nonsense weekly! I'm so glad it's back. I am in no way being facetious.

This week's victim is Elena (pronounced El-EH-na, not El-AY-na), a 32-year-old publicity director with a baby son and a husband she's been with for 15 years. How cute. By cute I mean boring. Her closet is packed with clothes from high school and college, and lots of print dresses.

This week’s victim is Stephanie Lichten, age 31. She’s a pediatrician from New York, who’s very active with muscular dystrophy charities. She has trouble convincing her patients’ parents that she’s old enough to practice medicine, as she looks and dresses like a pre-teen. (“She’s like a female Doogie Howser,” laments Tim.) For a typical first date, she says, she wears jeans and “two tank tops.” Tim and Veronica get a kick out of this (“Not one but two tank tops!”). In her video, Stephanie begs Tim to turn her into someone who can be taken seriously.

Yes, that's right, this week Tim Gunn and Veronica Webb will be making over the closet of ... drum roll please ... Thora Birch! It appears her current wardrobe isn't doing quite enough to get her dad hard, so Tim Gunn's been brought in to make some changes.
