Who's that huggin up on Lauren?: Image courtesy MTV.com. Lauren tells Whitney all about her making up with Audrina, and how things are much improved at home. Whitney's all "Oh yay, whatevs" and then Lauren gets a text from Holly Montag. Holly, who Spencer has forbidden from socializing with Lauren while she's staying chez Speidi.

The Hills: Something Has To Change (Episode 405)

I guess Hills girls do cry.: Image courtesy MTV.com
After Lauren's voiceover catches us up on the action, we're back in Vegas. The girls have been calling bail bond stores, having come up with nothing after calling the jails listed in the Vegas phone book. What happened to Doug and Brody? It's not long before Frankie enters with Brody and Doug in tow. Naturally, Brody and Doug laugh off the last five hours, which had them filing a police report against a random dude who punched Doug in the face after the guys declined an invite to party with him and some girls he had lined up. Lauren, Stephanie, and Lo are appalled, though the boys swear the attacker was worth the time it took to file the complaint. With that mystery solved, the boys head off to pack. It's time to fly home.

The Hills: Boys Make Girls Cry (Episode 404)
September 9, 2008
"If we hurry, we can catch the early bird special at Old Country Buffet.": Spencer and Heidi have got to go... (Image courtesy MTV.com)It's Frankie's birthday, and the gang head out to Las Vegas to celebrate. And when I say gang, I mean Lauren, Lo, Stephanie, Doug, Brody, Frankie, and maybe some anonymous brunette lurking in the background. While they enjoy Champagne on Doug's private jet, Audrina and Justin are nowhere to be found. When Stephanie asks where they are, Lauren says it's a long story. Which I'm sure is really nothing at all but will get nitpicked over once they hit Sin City. As if that wasn't awkward enough, Brody hoists a glass of bubbly to Stephanie, whose presence as a Spencer surrogate is kinda welcome. Nobody ever said the end of bromance was pretty.

The Hills: Better Off as Friends (Episode 403)
September 3, 2008
"He should be about this big": Image courtesy MTV.com.Whitney tries to counsel Lauren on how to break up with Doug, who is moving too fast for her. Whitney can't stick around for long, as she has to haul ass to New York in her new role for People's Revolution.
Whitney can't haul fast enough, as Kelly sends her to a casting as soon as she lands (and drops off her bags at her hotel). Things may not be as they seem, though, as Whitney gets to styling, photographing, and generally ogling the parade of hot male models.

The Hills: Drama Follows Them (Episode 402)
August 27, 2008I just finished watching this episode two minutes ago and can I even remember what happened? Did anything happen? People worked (sorta), as per usual. There was brunch and a birthday party at a nightclub that looked exactly like every other nightclub we've seen in the history of this show. Or maybe I'm just a cynic.
In any case, I'm doing bullet points but if you want to know what happened, ever so briefly, here it is: Lo and Audrina are still not speaking, Lauren's still dating Doug, they all go to Stephanie's birthday party at Boulevard 3, where the appearance of Spencer and Heidi with a huge bunch of cheap balloons sends Lauren, Lo, Doug, Brody, and Frankie running for, um, the hills. Aren't I clever? Elsewhere, Whitney is called up to the majors at People's Revolution when Kelly fires Jessica. Which was no surprise, as this has been news for a while.

The Hills: We'll Never Be Friends (Episode 401)
August 19, 2008
"Redrum! Redrum!" All grump and no play makes Spencer a dull boy.: Image courtesy MTV.comIt's been three months since we last saw our favorite residents of "The Hills", and what have they been up to?
When last we saw them, Heidi was following Spencer back to L.A. from a trip to Vegas that should have seen her installed as the project manager for a new SBE hotel in Sin City. Lauren and Lo were happily rooming together in Lauren's cute new mansion, leaving Audrina to get all mopey in the guest house before growing a pair and looking at apartments with Justin Bobby.

The Hills: The Next Move Is Yours (Episode 328)
May 13, 2008"Maybe you guys are just drifting."
From the cold open where Audrina and Justin check out an apartment at Little Tokyo Lofts to Audrina appearing to skip out on a roommate dinner with Lo and Lauren, I got the feeling that the Audrina/Lauren friendship was going to take some kind of a hit. But like Lauren said to Whitney, apart from living together, what do they even have in common anymore? Audrina has her little house out back, while Lo and Lauren have taken bedrooms in the main house. Truly, Lo and Lauren have been friends since childhood, but does that mean that there's no room for Audrina?

The Hills: No Place Like Home (Episode 327)
May 12, 2008
"Chloé has two mommies!": Image courtesy MTV.com.Oooh, I'm all excited about "The Hills" again. Despite Whitney being nowhere in sight, Lo turns up the heat between herself and Audrina, making sure that nobody gets as close to Lauren as she does. Except maybe Chloe their new puppy. No wonder Audrina doesn't know her way around her own kitchen. Elsewhere, Stephanie nudges Spencer out the door. Heidi offers her "services" to Brent and Sam, making herself more available now that Spencer no longer needs her to babysit.
