TV News Update: 'The Bachelor' And Son

Jason MesnickThe current star of ABC's ,The Bachelor, Jason Mesnick, has a kid. Mesnick, who was turned down by Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas on the last season, was asked by TV Guide if his four-year-old son Ty met any of the ladies vying for his love. "There's no way that I thought it was an appropriate place for Ty to be getting to know a lot of different girls in a group or something like that. And I'll be the first person to say TV's not the exact right place for a kid to be all the time," said Mesnick.

Why does producer/creator David E. Kelly give his female characters such weird names? Kristin Chenowith has already been announced as having been cast in his umpteenth new legal drama Legally Mad as lawyer Skippy Pylon. Now, TV Guide reports that British actress Charity Wakefield has been cast as the lead - lawyer Brady Hamm. Jon Seda has also been cast as an "equal opportunity offender" Matty.  

Michelle Trachtenberg will reprise her role as evil teen queen Georgina Sparks on the CW's Gossip Girl , according to EW . Sparks is a former friend of Serena's (Blake Lively) who attempted to blackmail her last season. Trachtenberg will appear in multiple episodes.

Us reports that Medium star Patricia Arquette has split with her husband of two years, actor Thomas Jane. They have a five-year-old daughter, Harlow. Arquette was previously married to Nicholas Cage for nine months.
