The Hills: You Always Miss A Best Friend (Episode 406)

Who's that huggin up on Lauren?: Image courtesy MTV.com. Lauren tells Whitney all about her making up with Audrina, and how things are much improved at home. Whitney's all "Oh yay, whatevs" and then Lauren gets a text from Holly Montag. Holly, who Spencer has forbidden from socializing with Lauren while she's staying chez Speidi.

Heidi is non-commital, but clearly not excited about the prospect of Holly seeing Lauren. Who cares if Holly used to be besties with Lauren when she had previously lived in LA? She's on Team Heidi, yeah? Well, yes, but she's also in need of friends, and it helps to reconnect.

So she goes for lunch with Lauren, they reconnect, though Lauren is hesitant to get another sibling in trouble like she had Stephanie. When Heidi learns about their lunch, she's appalled. Though I don't know if it's because she feels betrayed or because when Holly spills, Heidi's wearing an awful beret and oversized hoop earrings. It takes several assurances for Heidi to believe that Holly is on her side, though it gets her thinking about whether or not a conciliation with Lauren could happen yet. Okay, that last bit I extrapolated from her "I'm thinking deep thoughts" expression that, sadly, clashed with that damn beret.

As for Audrina, she invites her roommates and Stephanie to a showcase for The White Tie Affair, with an afterparty and all. Justin agrees to attend as well, assuring Audrina over dinner that he'll support what could be an important worknight for her. All goes well at the showcase -- the Roosevelt was packed with an audience who clearly dug the band's sound. Lo, Lauren, and Stephanie were on-hand to support Audrina and, of course, have a good time. But whither Justin? Audrina wondered about it all night, and the next morning at work, as Justin still hasn't called to explain his absence.
