It's Improve Your Body Image Day on Ugly Betty. Here's what went down in this very special episode.

BETTY FIGHTS BODY IMAGE: It's fashion week again and Betty is horrified to see that the models are even thinner than last year's. It's even worse when she brings Justin's class through the office for a field trip on publishing, and all they are concerned about is celebrity, and if the models eat anything. As she sees them throwing their lunches away in order to fit in, Betty gets an idea: how about healthy models for the Mode fashion show?

Daniel likes the idea, but not on principle: he's been looking for a theme for his first Mode show without Willy, and this will get him the press he craves. Unfortunately, when he pitches it to sister Alexis, now head of Meade, she shuts him down. He doesnt exactly put it that way to Betty, but we get the impression that the plan is not on as hoped.

And, indeed, when Alexis hosts a press weigh-in of Mode's models, she does it on a fixed scale, which adds 20 pounds to whoever stands on it. Betty upbraids Alexis, saying that if anyone should understand body image issues, it's boy-turned-girl Alexis. Then Alexis breaks the bad news: it was Daniel's idea.

Betty confronts Daniel who explains he just wanted to get around Alexis' denial. Together they concoct a plan to do a secret extra Mode show with real girls. At fashion week, they totally pull it off, and even Betty walks the runway (when they put her in nice clothes, it's kinda hard to avoid that America Ferrera is hot). Of course, despite her best efforts, the kids from Justin's class still dig the skinny models. Kids!

AMANDA'S DADDY ISSUES: Amanda is still looking for her father, so Marc takes her to a psychic. After a number of cryptic clues (a "B" will take you to a kiss, and then your father) Amanda uncovers - her Dad is Kiss frontman Gene Simmons! Or, at least, that's what she's inferred based on a psychic's ramblings.

CHRISTINA'S REKINDLED ROMANCE: Christina and her hubby are back on and too cute. Unfortch, her insurance won't cover his experimental treatments to save his life. Though I like the two of them, I'm still worried Stuart isn't on the up and up. Especially because it leaves Christina open to the manipulations of...

WILHELMINA'S BABY: Willy has her vial of Bradford semen and a dream. Her uterus, however, isn't down for this plan. Looking for a surrogate to carry her Meade baby, Willy enlists her pedicurist. That is, until Mark discovers that she's a porn star. Who's desperate for cash who can help them? How about Christina?

Next week: Betty goes Henry-crazy. Who can blame her?
