What are you talking about, "fourth season"?: Lauren is aghast.So the third season is over. Knowing that a fourth season is a sure thing makes this particular season finale more anti-climactic than it already was.
And didn't this feel like yet another episode where nothing happened and yet everything happened?
The facts are these:
- Lauren got to go to Paris, finally, after a heart-to-heart with Teen Vogue editor Lisa Love.
- Lisa Love, apparently, was a bit of a wild child, as she ran off to Paris herself when she was 15.
- Whitney is still hilarious.
- Lauren owns a lot of black shoes that I totally covet.
- Brody and Lauren aren't dating but they're involved enough that he's annoyed she's going to Paris.
- Spencer and Heidi are all about "space". Heidi avoids him for most of the episode, taking off for Colorado and home at the end of the episode.
- Audrina needs more of a personality, or caffeine or something.
- Stephanie Pratt definitely looks like that Carmindy chick from "What Not To Wear".
- Where was the Lo? More Lo!
So what have we learned?
- When travelling abroad, travel with someone who wears the same shoe size and is known to overpack.
- Too much time spent in the sun on "Laguna Beach" results in crow's feet on "The Hills", so big sunglasses are a must.
- There will always be a boy around to smooch.
- Jasmine's "Hills" polls are awesome... when she remembers to write them.
- When talking about this program as a "reality show", please do so with a huge grain of salt and a working definition of the word "subjectivity".
- If there's no Lo, there will be no intentional humor.
