The Hills: "Rolling With The Enemy"

When is the Justin/Bobby rollercoaster going to stop? Lauren wants to know. Audrina's not sure, but she knows one thing: Heidi and Spencer are going to be pissed when they find out Lauren's been hanging out with Brody.

Bolthouse. Brent convenes the staff for a meeting to begin planning an upcoming event for Chelsea Football Club . But before he gets to that, he asks Heidi if Lauren and Brody are back together. He saw them this weekend. Last time Heidi heard, they hated each other. So "it's pretty weird". Or maybe Heidi needs to get more current information on her friends and enemies, eh?

Over at Epic, Audrina tells co-worker Chiara about the weekend barbecue. She tells Chiara about Lauren getting emotional about her friendship with Heidi, AND the fact that she totally bawled when J/B left her at Brody's. Audrina's on the rollercoaster, that much is for sure, so when the hell is she going to get the eff off the damn thing?

At home, Heidi tells Spencer about Brent seeing Brody and Lauren together. Spencer says "Well, good for them. They need each other." Not sure where that came from -- maybe he understands that the two best friends need to mourn the loss of Heidi and Spencer's friendships? Or maybe it was more "Good luck, good riddance, and don't let the door hit you on the way out"? For whatever reason, I'm willing to give Spencer the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not holding my breath for any personality changes for the better any time soon.

Les Deux . Night. Lauren regales Audrina and pal Ryan about seeing two girls making out in the bathroom. She wants to know who makes out like that? Audrina: "Lesbians!" Indeed. Brody and Frankie invite Lauren to the Roosevelt pool that Sunday. Lauren reapplies her lip gloss then says "You know what's more fun? Your condo." Oooooooh. Before they make their way to Brody's, Lauren wants to know if Spencer will be there. He assures her that as Spencer spends all his time at home, Lauren doesn't have to worry about running into him.

Teen Vogue offices, which means one thing: Whitney! Yay! Lauren and Whitney are taking inventory while Lauren tells Whitney about the previous night's hijinks with Brody. Even more, Spencer dirt -- Spencer isn't returning Brody's phone calls. So has the friendship breakup epidemic really spread? Lauren's all "Brody's not dating you. It's probably just a momentary tiff." Which gets the girls riffing on the names Tiffany and Crystal, Whitney's Valley accent cracking me up.

At home, Audrina is getting ready to go to dinner with the infamous Justin/Bobby. Lauren and Lo look slightly appalled at this fact. Has Audrina seen him since the barbecue? No, but they have been talking. Why does he want to take things super slow if they've been dating off-and-on for the last two years. Lo asks if he shouldn't already be her boyfriend by now. Glad to know somebody's wondering.

Dinner at Toi . Audrina and J/B discuss how slow is slow. J/B bullshits some line about not wanting to put names on anything. J/B doesn't think much of anybody's feedback but his. "So, you know what? F**k them. I don't give a f**k." Nor surpisingly, Audrina doesn't look comforted by this sentiment.

Brody drives and dials, getting Spencer on the line. Why hasn't Spencer been returning his calls? He's got nothing to say to Brody about his "new best friend". Brody bristles -- they've been friends forever, and has no problems with Lauren, and won't hate Lauren just because Spencer does. Spencer says this is a betrayal, and won't tolerate it. Brody doesn't want to get into some high school type drama, and the call ends abruptly. D'oh!

At the Roosevelt pool, Audrina tells Lauren and Lo about J/B not wanting to put labels on their relationship. Lauren doesn't look kindly on this. Audrina's plan is to play it cool -- will this be just the thing to get J/B to commit? When Frankie and Brody arrive, Frankie teases Brody and Lauren about their "sleepover". After some razzing, the conversation turns to the more serious topic of the Brody/Spencer breakup. Lauren is concerned that Brody's friendship suffered as a result of her enmity with Spencer, but he laughs it up. "Me and Frankie started dating."

Meanwhile, Heidi is getting ready to have breakfast with Jen Bunney in the hopes of restarting their own friendship. Before she does, she tries to cheer Spencer up by suggesting an intimate dinner at Don Antonio's. Spencer says nothing, so Heidi heads out.

Breakfast at Doughboys . Jen is amazed to hear that Heidi's no longer friendly with Spencer's friends, and is shocked that Brody and Spencer are kaput. For her part, Heidi is shocked that Lauren's hanging out with Brody, whom she knows was responsible for the rumors that Heidi was accused of spreading in the first place. But how does she know, Jen wonders. Oh, Jen, Heidi knows. Jen asserts that though she and Lauren are no longer friends, if Jen really needed her in a crisis, Lauren would be there. So could Heidi ever be friends with Lauren again. She dodges the question, saying that it's just "interesting" how things turned out. When she says that she doesn't care, Jen immediately retorts that she does. Heidi doesn't correct her -- she just gets this unreadable look -- of sadness? of pity? -- on her face. And with that, breakfast is over.
